It been downed with a head cold all week. In fact, Thursday is the only day I have worked. I spite of that, I will be there Friday to hang with you good friends.

But Saturday morning I'll take your group picture & see you off before heading home. My body hasn't recovered enough for a long hike.

That will leave a bit more water and a couple more trees, both of which are scarce, at the north campsite.

    See you tomorrow!

Loaded. 13 lb pack, 5 lbs food, 2.25 lbs bourbon. Should be well under 20 lbs. by hiking time Saturday.

Sorry you're under the weather Mike but thank you for making the effort to spend some time with us.

Did get some of that rain Grinder mentioned. Probably not even a quarter of an inch but it may flush some of the pollen and dust from the air.

What he's really saying is Ada, had enough of him this week and she's kicking him out so she can get some peace and quite for a change!

I got to about 16lbs without water. Not too bad for me. Will be good to see you Madd even if its for one evening. And the rest coming! Hoping to roll into parking lot before 5pm.

I should be there before dark.

Just finished packing and decided to actually weigh my stuff.

Food bag - 5lbs 1 oz. This actually has more than just food. Glasses, cook kit, and water kit are all in there.
    Water - 4lbs 9oz. Two 1-liter bottles.
Pack - 6lbs 5oz. This would be my pack, complete hammock setup, down jacket, extra socks, and all the other essentials.

I didn't include the sandwich I'm going to pick up for dinner but it'll be gone before we actually start hiking.

See you all in a couple hours.

I did start this and I thought I was winning in the ultralight setup this trip. But then I just realized 2nd place is the first looser.

    Lol.

I'm Going to have to take a closer look at your setup this weekend. I have more to learn.

I'll have to miss this one guys. Kids want me to go to the parks as it's end of their spring break. Have fun, take lots of pictures and make good fires. Till the next one folks.
