    Introduction

    Howdy, Kiora, and G'day.

I just recently joined this Mecca of hangers, always been an outdoors enthusiast and was turned on to hammocking almost a year ago. I'm a bit of a wanderer and just recently returned Stateside from 7 years away in New Zealand and Australia. I currently reside in Austin Texas, but that's always subject to change.

I joined at first to glean information and ask questions freely, as I have only one friend who is into the hammock with the same vigour as I, and he lives in Olympia so it's not like we can go out weekends and hang. I am now coming to appreciate the social aspect I see and especially like how all the cottage vendors I have been investing gear from are memebers, it's good to know that they are people who care about what they produce and the people they produce it for.

Anyway, I just figured it was time to introduce myself. Thanks all.

Cheers m8, I take it you from Queensland? Was in NSW myself, a Kiwi by birth, but don't hang it against me!

Haha, already spending too much! Waiting on a HG Burrow as we speak. And brought up getting a sewing machine to the missus yesterday, she gave me a funny look indeed.

    Welcome, How's it Hang'en? LOL

Your intro reminded me of one of my favorite Tolkien quotes from Lord of the Rings:
"Not all those who wander are lost."

And when you see how much Cuben fiber costs, the other part of that quote is funnier:
"All that is gold does not glitter"
Both your gear and your wallet will be lighter, as Cuben fiber seems as expensive as gold ounce for ounce ;-)
Deja Moo: "The feeling you have heard this bull before"
