Has anyone been out to Michaux State Forest in PA recently? Reports on conditions? They said there is an open fire ban but I don't know if that includes shelter areas. Any info would be appreciated!

There is always a fire ban from March 1st to May 25th in state forests. It may be extended to start earlier due to the warm and dry winter. I couldn't find anything online, but any fire bans are normally posted in the info boards at parking areas.

I will be heading here for an overnight tomorrow, since it will be 75* with a low of mid-50's! I'm going to call to let them know our license plate and where we are parking, so I could ask and report back.
Coach - I'm sorry I didn't get back to you in time, it was a crazy day. How did your trip go? Mine went pretty good... we parked at Quarry Gap Road and attempted to do this loop. Didn't do the entire thing because we got such a late start, but we'll be back for sure!
Also, I noticed you are in Turnersville! I went to high school in Williamstown (where my parents still live) and my grandmom lives in Turnersville... I'm back home quite often. Small world!
No problem. What a small world! I went to HS in TWP, graduated in 98. We had a great time. It was a really nice area, I thought. My write-up is here.
