I sleep either way, but with having a SBpro I can pretty much sleep anyway I want with the amount of room I have in that hammock.

I have the HH explorer asym. I am only slightly diagonal in it, and my head end tends to be off of the centerline more than my feet are, IIRC. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or what, but it usually works. It isn't really a "flat" position, but it isn't terribly bowed either.

I too usually cross my ankles. I think it's partially to stay warmer, and partially because the hammock would push my feet against each other annoyingly if they were side-by-side.

I have never tried rolling onto my side in the hammock.

I find in my ENO, if the "sag" is just right, I sleep great on the diagonal.

The Eno Double is great that way. It's got enough width so you can get a good lay on the diagonal. It's pretty good for sleeping in the fetal position.

I have a Grand Trunk Traveler... I must be hanging it incorrectly. When I try to lay diagonally it doesn't work. I feel all scrunched up, which I assumed it was becuase I have it pulled to tight. Does anyone have a pic fo the correct way to hang a hammock (like the Traveler) to get a good diagonal lay?

    Thanks

It varies as a function of the hammock and the hanger's preference, but the generally accepted place to start is using a 35 degree angle between the suspension on each side and the horizontal plane.

Add another one for diagonal. I sleep good both ways, but I'm more comfortable on the diagonal.
