WITHDRAWN: Zipper Mod #2 Hennessy Asym Backpacker

I've decided to sell my Hennessy Asym Backpacker Hammock for $150 including shipping in CONUS. Has 2Q's #2 Zipper Mod. And I changed out line with cinch buckles and webbing. Easily $80 worth of mods. Includes original tarp. Very good condition.

Selling so I can try other stuff. Simple as that.

I predict a "SOLD" status before the night's over! It's just too good a deal for someone not to want it.

I just handed my wife my wallet and told her that no matter what I say, or how much I beg, NOT to give it back to me until this thread says SOLD in the title!!!

This is a good deal... shouldn't last too long!

Sorry for the delay in posting. I wasn't home last night until late. Good questions Mud Bone. I need to reweigh the hammock but I believe it’s around 2 lbs, 14 ounces now. But I will post exact weight. And the hammock has a lot of webbing on it that can be shortened if you find it's too much.

I bought this hammock new. It is the Ultralite Backpacker A-Sym for people up to 6 ft. in height. With webbing, this hammock no longer has the 200 pound weight limit. Easily holds people over 200. Comes with original tarp. I no longer have original line. It broke when I let a heavier friend lay in it. I do have the original tree huggers that I will include for anyone who may want to go to whoopie slings or line. (Do have some minimal visible wear but will last for many more hangs.)

The slit is still perfectly intact so you can use the hammock as bottom loader or top loader. The slit has always stayed shut on me so I saw no reason to sew it closed.

The full length zipper is on the left. The half zipper is on the right. You can easily adjust underquilts from both sides with this mod. Something that I really miss on my Blackbird hammock. Good question !

The hammock bag does have one small hole in it that I put there on purpose. If you switch back to line or whoopie slings at any time, run the line through the hole so you can use originally hammock bag as a Black Bishop Bag.

Here are some pictures. One shows how my Exped 9 Delux mat fits perfectly inside with the netting tied off for winter camping. Shows where I cut the structural ridgeline and put a mini-S biner so you can take down the ridgeline to use it as a chair and then easily reconnect the ridgeline. I added an extra ridgeline pocket for a book or other things that you can have but is easy to remove if you don’t want it.

Other picture shows how I tied the new Spyderline to connect cinch buckle and webbing. One picture shows how nicely a driducks poncho fits underneath for undercover. Last pictures shows how you can use webbing with or without biners. Carabiners also come with hammock and will be included in weight. Saves you even more $$. Does not include stakes.

This hammock does have a bit of history with it. This is first hammock to have #2 zipper mod done. I think Dutch was first to start asking about it but I was first to put money down to have it done. And zippers look like they were done at the factory and have worked PERFECTLY from the very beginning.
