    SOLD: New PeaPod

Impulsively jumped at last moment of sale to avoid missing a great deal. I just don't need it. Brand new...Used less than 10 minutes. Now the great deal can be yours. I paid a total of $311.50 with shipping. I'll sell it for $311.50 plus shipping. You can still save about $90 over list price. I will deliver to Mt. Rogers and save the shipping cost.

Great deal. I've got too many quilts/sleeping bags as it is, but someone should sure jump on this!

"Too many" was not reason enough to keep me from buying, but it is reason enough for me to sell before I try it and like it too much. Better to sell it now while it's brand new than to wait and not want to sell it at all. It is an excellent piece of gear- well designed, well executed, well priced. I could talk myself into keeping it...I'm easy like that.

If I had an extra $300 burning in my pocket... If anyone feels inclined to donate to my fund towards the peapod, I will humbly accept it!

The sad fact is that good gear does cost good money. The good news is that once you've got the best there is you don't have to keep wasting money on inferior stuff.

Very true. I have two problems. I have another expensive hobby (motorcycle travel) and we are moving to PA in the spring with plans to purchase a property, dig a well, build a house. Wife is tolerating me purchasing SOME hammock stuff (if I give her the puppy dog look) at this time and the way things are going, I can buy some things now, and deal with getting a more expensive winter hammock outfit probably at next year's christmas sales.

Last saturday when we were driving home from a motorcycle club holiday party, the temperature was -1 at midnight. I remarked how much fun it would be to strap up the BB in the backyard if I had the winter quilts/tarp! She looked at me and shook her head while rolling her eyes...

Ah yes... I know that look too. In fact, it's a look most of us have seen around here many, many times.

Fortunately, for me, the only thing I have to deal with is buyers remorse. It's usually gone by the time the gear gets here. What I really love is my issues with long term memory. If I order something and it shows up two weeks later, I think I've gotten a nice gift from someone.
