Why doesn't my avatar picture show up when I post?

I can see it on my member page, but not on any of my posts.

Also, when do "new members" lose their new member status?

Make it your Profile Picture instead of Avatar, and Donate some cash and you can get rid of new member status. or put some years in for senior or maybe its a post count not sure

Scratch that and reverse it. Your profile picture is the small picture that displays under your user name when viewing your profile. Your avatar displays under your name whenever you post. You likely have the picture saved as your profile pic not your avatar.

And if I remember correctly, it stops saying 'new member' when you hit a certain post count. I can't remember what that number is ... been a while. I think it was at least 50, but less than 100.

I finally found it under my settings, and not under my profile where I thought it might be. It seems odd that I couldn't just select one of my gallery pictures, but had to copy one from my album (pics from an old computer) to my new computer, and then upload it from there. %-/
