    Hi, I'm new here

    Hello everyone,

I live in Texas, but travel to the country. I am interested in trying hammock camping. I have not bought a hammock yet. I have been finding a lot of good info here on the Hammock Forum. Any suggestions as to picking a good comfortable hammock for a 6'1" 250lb male. I have been looking at Hennessy Explorer Deluxe A-Sym.

Well pepper welcome to the forum! There are a lot of smart folks roaming these boards and I am sure you will find the answers to the questions you have.

I would suggest you search the board some.

Greetings from a fellow Texan. I like my Hennessy, but read for yourself about the many options available. I'm brand new to hammocking too, but I'm already hooked.

Welcome to the forum Pepper. I am new to all of this as well and am trying to find the best option for getting started. I looked a lot at the Hennessy Hammocks as well and really like them. Another model that is popular around here I am considering is the Warbonnet Blackbird. Like I said I am new to all of this and haven't actually tried either one of them, so I am sure there are other folks around here that will be more help. I hope your search ends well.

    Welcome to the Forum!

My signature will let you know my hammock suggestion for you.
But, there are lots and lots of choices out there for you. Do a little homework and get what you think is the right one. If it's not the right one that's fine. There aren't many of us with just one hammock anyway. Gotta have a loaner for friends ya know.

Welcome from Central Texas! Texas hangers are growing by the numbers!! Soon ground-sleepers will be the minority!
