What are your top quilt temp options?

Just curious what your options are for too whilt temp ranges. I have a 20 degree, 30 degree and 45 degree. Looking for either getting a 40 or a 50 because their are lighter options than my 16oz 45 one I have.

Wondering what others use as their total system options.

I have pired my 20 and 30 to take me below 20.

0, 20, 40 for my TQs....once the lows hit the 70s I don't bring a TQ - just a silk sheet. The 40 gets about 70-80% of the usage though.

I generally hang in Washington and Oregon and have done so 4 seasons. I've changed up my insulation since I begun to hang. I originally used my 35°prime USA synthetic sleeping bag for 3 seasons & 0° mountain hardware down sleeping bag with slightly inflated pad. I have since obtained an 20°UGQ Zeppelin underquilt from another forum member. Because the question is about topquilts I won't go on needlessly about the happiness it brings me. I will tell you, however, about my topquilts that I have aquired . For colder nights I have a Hammock Gear 20° Burrow. For the warmer months I use different quilts... I have an eno vesta , a costco down blanket quilt & mountain hardware hotbed ember quilt. I have yet to use the costco quilt I feel like I know what to expect as I've used the down throw. The others I've used and I'd say I was warm down to about 35° in the eno and around 45-50 in the MH hotbed ember quilt. I expect the ccdq will get me to +50. I feel like my bugnet may hold some heat in as well.

I have a 50°, 20°, and 0° top quilts that I pair with a 3 season and a 0° under quilts. So far it's worked for all 4 seasons with venting on the under quilt when it's really hot.

A 20 degree set is hard to beat for the price but if money isn't an option a 40 and 0 degree set seems to me to be the most ideal.

I have a HG 0, a HG 40, and a Jacksrbetter fleece TQ liner (shaped just like a foot boxed quilt). The liner works as a hot summer quilt or to supplement the 40 if need be.

What are your top quilt temp options?

I must be the odd man here. I only use my USMC poncho liner year-round. If it drops below freezing I'll throw a sleeping pad under me but that's it. I can't sleep unless it's cold.

    +1 on the 0°, 20°, and 40° TQs.

FWIW, I also use 0°, 20° and 40° UQs, although the only full length one I use is the 0°, the others are 3/4 lengths.
