I remember thinking that when I lived there. Born and raised in a small town an hour from Houston. Heh, everyone likes to say how crazy their weather shifts are.
It really is that bad in OK. We don't stay as hot as Texas, but the weather here changes drastically ALOT! Last year... in March we had typical temps in the 60s then one day a front moved in and brought us down to the 20s and dumped 9 inches of snow on us. The NEXT day it was in the high sixties and low 70s. I went out in flip flops and shorts in melting snow.
Heh. That seems pretty hard to beat in my opinion.
I decided to get a Double sided 1.7 Blackbird Hammock. Can someone tell me the difference between line/tree strap suspension or adjustable webbing suspension for a blackbird hammock?
It is explained in this video. I just ordered mine as well (with the adjustable webbing).
Hey Prepper!!! Hello from a fellow Texan. I use and ENO. I'm wider than I am tall. The ENO does me well. I've used Hammock Bliss in the past, but found that the bug netting (a necessity in TX.) to be a bit fragile on those. ENO or a Warbonnet will do you well. If I were to chose just one, I would go with the warbonnet if money isn't and issue.
I ordered the Blackbird 1.7 with adjustable webbing.
