    First ever hammock snow cave!

Hello fellow hammockers, I have been a member of the forum a long time but haven't shaired much. Made my first DIY hammock long ago with the help of this forum. I am hooked, and like pushing the limits of what I can do with them. This is a video of my brother and I building hammock snow caves for us and my 2 kids. Outdoor Vitals is my brothers company and I get to help him design, prototype, and test gear. Let me know what you think! Keep the hammock love going.

My kids loved this trip and are big fans of Shug

Welcome to Hammock forums. We look forward to the video but currently it doesn't seem to work.

Looks like you all are hoarding all the snow. We got some here today in Minnesota.
Used my OV Aerie a week or so ago down to 23º and it did way better than I thought it might. I crawled in around 10PM and slept warm until about 4:30 AM. Started to get a bit cold on the buttocks then.
As it functions in a bag, pod and UQ and blanket so the 18 ounces of down gets distributed on top, sides and bottom. Less on the bottom as a normal 20º UQ.
Slept in a partial pod arrangement. Set up like pod but unzipped to knees.
Seemed to work best. Kept the bottom up against me that way.
    Used a light TQ inside.

Fun to watch you all in your snow ditches:::::

My kids are going to love thinking of you watching there video. they are huge fans. And Thanks for the feedback on the prototype. We did our first backpack attempt with all three kids in the video this last week and they had a blast, but they liked the snow cave better.

I'm so jealous! I've wanted to do this, but we haven't had enough snow for the last two winters (since I started hammocking).
