Day Hike Hammock?

Hi folks -

I'm looking for a hammock to take in a daypack, mostly to chill out with during the day but not something necessarily to spend the night in.

So I am looking for something very light and comes in a small package.

The Bushman Hammock chair is whats in my pack for day hikes.



Packs to about the size of a grapefruit. And lets you have enough space to kick back to sit, adjust to recline. Comes with a full webbing suspension and stuff sack, just add a pair of carabiners and your set to hang.

I like the 11" wilderness logic snipe but to be fare any of the simple no net single layers will be wonderful. I just love a morning bike ride then breakfast and a good book to read. My perfect kind of day.

Dutchwaregear netless 11' 1.0 Hexon fabric (holds 250lbs) packs down to about the size of a fist and weighs something like 7-9oz.

No it's not the lightest, but for a day hike I love my ENO/Atlas Straps. So easy to string up and take down, and my day pack is typically very light regardless of the weight, especially considering that the nap usually takes place in conjunction with lunch during which pack weight is consumed.

On my day hikes I have my dream hammock dangerbird and my arrowhead equipment bushchair. I like the option of having both with me for days like today where I did use both at different times during my hike. I know it's not the lightest way to do it but I'm trying to get used to hiking under weight (just starting getting into backpacking) so I carry more than I need for a day hike.
