    Vertex

How do you insulate this thing ? (the two person hammock)

(I am not sure I am posting in the right section actually)

They are talking about a "matching Z-Liner underquilt", but I don't see any on their website, only pads ?

Anyone added all the elements and figured out what the total weight was, say in summer mode and in winter mode ?

I did a review on the Vertex and underliners. I'll dig for it but pads don't work well in there, Z-liners do.

    Hopefully this works.

I've also been told that you can hang individual uq's for each person. I can't speak from experience though.

This thread can be deleted as AdventureMyk's review is much more complete about the topic.

Said, I recently got an incubator underquilt but haven't tried to put it under. I have read there are hot and miss on fit as the shelf tries to push down one side of the suspension. I will give it a try when I think about it next adventure.

OK, be sure to share. I was curious about that especially for a partial UQ in summer time. That would take out a good deal of the weight. Cause I do get cold without any insulation in the summer in the middle of the night.

and if anyone is looking into selling his Vertex, please get in touch, as I am quite sad they do not do your lovely blue hue anymore.

Mine are forest green/black, not blue. Some of the skies in those pics were pure cloudless blue though

Clark calls it their "jungle green", not available anymore. Your blue sky is still available, thank god, free and priceless for all hammockers !

Just found this picture of the "Double V", which is the netless version of the Vertex.

If there is no optical illusion in the picture, while it seems ok for a nap, the upright position of the torso seems utterly incomfortable for a night sleep. Do you have to sleep that way in this hammock : either banana style or with your torso horizontal but your legs going very far up (if they fit, because I assume you have to be quite far away from the head end, if you want your torso horizontal) ?

That doesn't ressemble a comfortable sleeping position, like this one :

Vertex owners ? Any substantial improvement possible if the guitar is taken away, maybe ?

With all imagination efforts and even if they had hired 6'4 models for the photo shoot, it still seems small to me.

The dimensions of the hammocks laid completely flat are 102.5" X 47.5". In the second picture, the hammock is about 125" x 61". I do not know the sizes of the human models, unfortunately...
