Pima county outlawing two-way radios/electronic communications...
(Please forward this email to all club members and friends).

Club members: Please draft and send an email to all five county supervisors in Pima county. So far, they have only heard from two of us on this subject! Communications engineer David Branson (KC0LL) has given his permission for me to forward his email below to radio clubs. Here are the email addresses for all five Pima county supervisors. Send them a short (or long) protest email! Quantity counts.

The County Attorney told me this is a primary offense, so if they see you on a radio, they pull you over.

I have been on the phone all day with the Sheriff Office, County Attorney, Clerk of the Board of Supervisor and others.

I sent all 5 Supervisors a long letter about this. Two have already responded and they had no idea they just outlawed their PC Win system and County's 2-way radios. One called all upset and told me this was why he didn't vote for it. He said I was the only person that has contacted the supervisors about this, but I made an impression with them. One said he was getting with the County Attorney to see what needs to be done.

Other people should email the 5 Supervisors about this.

I understand this is phones too ... of course law enforcement and emergency personal
are exempt from this "dangerous" practice ...
somehow it is safe for them to use a phone or radio while driving ... over the speed limit ...
but us "little people" are somehow supposed to know they are just looking out for us!

Just uploaded the gear report for the video camera I used at the hang. There are some cameos from the guys that did the Monument hike, as well as a shot at the end of somebody getting into their hammock hung over the creek...
