Strangest thing...

I am not normally one who believes in the boogie-persons or hide behinds (well...maybe I am), but someone or something has been messing with my shoes.

Last night I slept out in a consistent rain. I love rain.

I got up in the middle of the night to check my tarp and I found that one of my shoes had moved so that it had filled with water from the drip edge of my tarp!

I knew I was tired when I went to sleep, but not so tired that I didn't put my shoes squarely beneath my hammock.

When I climbed back in my hammock I made a deliberate effort to make sure my shoes were secure.

This morning *both* of my shoes had moved, and are now full of water!

Thoughts?
Theories?

Maybe tonight I should set a trap.
Maybe one of those shoe keepers for my ridgeline looks like a good idea.

I pitched my tarp low with all 4 doors closed.

If there are underpants gnomes, I am going yo try to catch one. What do I use for bait? Whiskey? Muffins?

Looks like you've got yourself a good 'ol Gremlin there Jelly. Sneaky !little *******s. I've got one that messes with me too so don't feel like your losing it, the little buggers are quite the mischievous lot they are. Traps only work if you use something to confuse it, like a Sudoku or some books written in French. Wait, that's what confuses me, Gremlins are smart, your s.o.l .... LOL JK.

Definitively Bigfoot....the species is generally very jealous of humans that can find the right shoe size. Imagine if you shopped and shopped and even when you find a pair that does fit.....grunts are not excepted as payment. It would put hate in your heart as well.
