My daughter and her boy friend pick up a pair of Kakoon hammocks. I purchases a pair of double whoopie hooks suspensions so they can hang from the same pair of trees. But I still have several questions I could use some input on from forum members..
1. The ends have a cord run through a channel on the end that's knotted together to form a loop (see pic). I can feed a continuous look through the channel but I'm not sure of the best way to tie it off. A larks head would likely just slide apart. And recommendations for a better knot.

2. There's no ridge line. Should I add an adjustable ridge line to this rig? And since the body and netting are sewn up at the ends, would I attach each end on the the afore mentioned continuous loops at each end? The ridge line could then run through the tree loops on the bug netting to hold that up, although it's cut to be pulled up higher that this ridge line would run so the netting would be "baggy.," nut I think there would still be enough headroom inside.
3. They provide a string tp connect to your two trees and run through three loops to hold up the bug netting. If I don't add a ridge line and if they hang from the same two trees with a spreader bar at the head end, the netting suspension line will run between them instead of above the centerline of each hammock. These lines hold just the weight of the netting so I was thinking of rigging a spreader bar for these lines too. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Here's a picture of the rig to help visualize the issues.
