    Info on Mesh/Net Jungle hammocks???

I am looking for a mesh/netted hammock for backcountry jungle use. Here in Canada I have had no luck. All I have found so far is poor quality imitations that would likely fall apart the first night.
I have used HH in the past and currently own a Claytor Jungle hammock. They have been great hammocks and I love my JH. I would like to try a netted hammock over my nylon versions though for reasons of staying dry.
A netted hammock dispenses moisture better rather than hold it like the nylon versions.
River crossings and other similar water dumps have proven to me that sleeping in a saturated nylon hammock over night can keep you cool but somewhat uncomfortable come morning, kind of like a three year old with damp pampers. A mesh hammock merely needs a good shake and wipe before suspending it under the bug net.
I am looking for somthing compact, ring fastened ends, and likely in a poly blend to prevent stretching or mold.

Any reply's and info would be greatly appreciated.

Plus, has anyone tried using an underquilt or pod system on a mesh hammock? figured it might work with the numerous attachment points in the mesh..

Not much protection from skeeters ... but they sell them most everywhere ... here's one with spreader bars at Campmor

Thanks for the site on Campmor, impressive selection. If I could find somthing w/o the spreaders, that would be perfect.

I don't camp in them, but I've got a couple of these around the house. The polyester they use is pretty soft and they are quite comfortable.
    Trust nobody!

I've come across the Rothco model on a few sites. Any experience with them? Does it pack down tight, durable? The Rothco site was vague on what it was made from and where.

Some of the "brazilian" style hammocks look like they would work well. Just not too sure how they would pack down for size.

I don't understand. How is your nylon hammock getting wet in the first place? Do you not keep it stored in a dry bag?

I always store my "sleeping system" wrapped up in garbage bags and then placed in a good quality dry bag. (Clark jungle hammock, tarp, sleeping bag, assorted guylines and stakes) I've never had to sleep in a wet hammock. Granted, Southwest Florida is not the jungle, but we are considered subtropical so conditions can be similar to tropical regions. Rain can usually be expected during certain times of the year, and I do a lot of kayak camping and have dumped myself and my gear into the drink more than once...still, my sleep system stays dry.

Maybe this is just a "technique issue"? (...unless I'm misunderstanding your post.)
Yesterday's tomorrow is tomorrow's yesterday. It's the only day that counts.
