Spent 3 nights on the Foothills Trail spanning the border of NC and SC. It was my son Justin's first backpacking trip ever. Great time with some good company!

Just watched with my 4 yr old daughter-- her seeing your son out there got her itching to go too.. Great trip and enjoyed watching!

Really enjoyed this, great video. Kudos to Justin for rocking a three night trip for his first backpacking maiden voyage!! He finally did it. Congratulations Justin! Hope he goes on many more trips.
Another quality video. The sound quality on this video is one of your best ever. Were you using a mic for this trip? Thanks for taking us along and tell you son great job on 10 miles, impressive.
Looks like a great time by all. Looks like a great starter trip for your son.
I was using an external mic. I have been for most of the more recent videos. I tried some different things on this one. This video it was pretty good, but there are spots on the next one I'm still not happy with it. I will keep experimenting until I find what gives the best audio!
Great video, just subbed to you not too long ago. Great stuff

Watched and commenting on pts 1&2. Good seeing y'all getting your boys out on the trail!
The closed trail at the top of the falls- I never see those signs lol, I just go look =) But with your kids there you did the right thing!
Is there a significant weight difference between the CF and mesh skins when dry?
Good lookin out on noticing the way the CF retained the moisture.
I see you switched out to your CDT for the trip. What made you decide to carry that over your new pack? Too much stuff/too heavy because of the type of trip maybe?
What kinds of packs were Beekeeper and his son carrying?
Haha- Justin said the tequila was pretty strong but fine for the trail... hopefully DFACS doesn't see this video!
I'm sure the shepherd's pie was good, but it looked too complicated lol. I want simple when I'm out there.
Looks like another great trip!
