    .5mm dynnema webbing.

Does anyone have any experience with this webbing? I just picked up a pair of 8ft tree straps from MyersTech hammock lab on Facebook and I was wondering if there is any out there being used. At 2 grams a foot, seems pretty sweet. Thanks.

I assumed pure dyneema was too slippery for most applications after reading Dutch's explanation on his new dyneema/polypro straps. He had to add the poly to provide some grip for buckles etc. Would be interested in trying some at some point though, just because I like tinkering.

I just checked them out, and I might buy them. Their price compared to Dutch's 2.2 Kevlar and light weight is worth the risk, IMO.

He's done quite a bit of testing with good results. Holds a Marlin spike, Becket hitch, and he said Dutch spiders as well. He said he was able to get a cinch buckle to slip a little, so he rated that at 400lbs.

"$1.19 a foot and just over 2 grammes a foot"
So, that's lighter than Dutchware 2.2 Kevlar and costs just a bit more than Kevlar 3.3
Still a bit rich for my blood though.

I should have mine in a couple of days. I'm going camping this weekend and will report back.

Looking forward to hearing how they work out! I love the becket hitch on Dutch's 2.2 kevlar. I have never tried out the spiders on it though. Might be worth a try since I have them.

However, a much lighter option that worked decently with cinch buckles would probably have a lot of happy hangers.

That's true. He said the spiders have had good success. I'm 300lbs and kind of already pushing the limits of the spiders, so we'll see.

Back from the trip and the marlin spike worked perfectly, next I will try the spiders and Becket hitch.
