Arrow Who here has the fastest tarp setup?

Another thread got me re-evaluating my tarp setup. I have always used knots. I am not apposed to hardware. My top priorities are ease and speed of setup with weight coming in a close second. I would like to get my tarp and hammock setup down to under 10 minutes and under 5 would be even better. Who here is the speediest of them all?

I use stingers attached to all my tie out points its pretty easy and fast.

I can pretty much guarantee that the bonefire deluxe suspension is the fastest tarp suspension around.

You can really go wrong using dutchware. I've got tarp flies spliced on the corners of my superfly tarp. I've spliced my tie down rope onto my stakes. My doors are Dutch door hooks. I've also got a continuous Ridgeline system using one Dutch hook and one stinger. I bet I could deploy my tarp in 5 minutes but I haven't actually timed myself.

I've also got an all in one hammock suspension permanently attached to my hammock.

Here is my continuous Ridgeline setup. Upside is that centering is quick.

To me, nothing is easier or faster than tying to a Dutchware stinger or flyz, etc. The caribiner figure 9 is a close 2nd, and it works better with larger diameter rope. I currently use stingers, but I believe I'd use less line with the flyz. In my disorganized world, that's an issue. Plus, I don't feel like I have to have a "V" to run the hammock susp through.

p.s. I use separate lines, not the continuous line in the example above; totally a preference thing... the continuous line allows you to tie off and then adjust the tarp as needed. Frankly, the flyz/stingers are so easy to tie off that its no big deal to untie and tie again as necessary for adjustment, which I rarely have to do anyway.

The bonefire suspension is the fastest suspension available. You actually just hang your hammock, and the tarp just clips on to dutch hooks on the hammock suspension. So you don't have to set-up the tarp at all. It is mathematically calculated to remain taut. I can probably hang my tarp in 5 seconds, and stake it out in 1-2 min.

    Intimidator you might be right.

And not sure of name of this one:
Hangnouts all in one tarp and hammock suspension as demonstrated by Jaxx Drinkwater
My setup, Kokomo, is fast for me; only problem is there are at least a few hundred hangers who can set up faster than me rain or shine
I hope I did not misspell anyone's trail name or rig.

The hangnout/jaxx suspension is fundamentally the same idea as jeremy's, difference is Jeremy's puts a water break under the tarp, and uses a CL instead of dogbones.

This is the method that I use, surprised I don't hear it mentioned more often. I love it. The weight of a dutch hook and tarp flyz is about as negligible as it gets. And man is it fast.
