    What underquilt to build

I'm a very new hammock gourmet user (so I don't know what I'm doing). My current setup is a sleeping pad. I would like to make a underquilt on a budget (broke college student).
I think I've decided on building a gemini.

Is there any other underquilt designs I should consider, or over looked.

Any CDT build is going to be the way to go on a budget. I did something similar to the Gemini build with my first build. Next build is going to be a faux baffle double stuffed UQ design maybe with the clew suspension.

Gemini is the way to go on a budget. I don't think we have any real cold temperature testing yet though. My guess is about freezing though.

    Thanks,
I definitely won't be camping below freezing in a hammock for a while. With it being modular its definitely the DIY project for me.

Do you have any plans to DIY a new hammock? That eno single can't be super comfortable.

My current setup has a eno rainfly, and bug net. If I make a new hammock I need to make a new rainfly, and bug net because of size differences. As ambitious as I am I would prefer one project at a time. I can change the suspension later to fit an upgraded hammock. So my plan is to make an underquilt then a tarp then make a hammock. That way I can do it in stages.
