I have a similar project in the works, but working through it much slower
What weight of noseeum did you use?
have you also built a winter cover?

I busted out a second one of these the day before yesterday; the body is made out of a double layer of red 1.35 oz ripstop nylon, another inexpensive remnant. Dimensions are the same. I tried matching fabric hoods this time (with adjustable elastic cinches), just to do something different. Color-coordinated OutdoorINK stuff sack FTW!

Amazing design, but I'm not finding those Vislon two-way zippers at all on Dutch's site. Maybe they are out of stock now? I only see the short one-way Vislon zippers. I'm looking to do something very similar for my next project. Does anyone know when these zippers will be back on the site?

Thanks. Try sending atrane21 a PM or e-mail, and, if they are available but not yet added to the new website, you can probably order them using the "Custom Item" function and then make notes on your order at checkout. I used the 115" length of zipper on these hammocks.

I used 0.9 oz NoSeeUm for trailworthiness, but I'm sure Dutch's 0.67 oz Nano NoSeeUm mesh works just great, and I think that's what's on the Chameleon. A top cover is in the works, using the exact same finished shape as the net; I will probably join a 12" wide mesh vent to the fabric of the top cover with a flat-felled seam parallel to one short end of the parallelogram.

Contact Dutch directly for the zippers, your choice of #3 or #5. He will have you enter a custom order.
As usual great service and very quick shipping.

A couple more detail shots of the second reversible-net hammock showing how I assembled the elastic drawcord for the zipper hood cinches and reinforced the apertures...

Awesome work. I admit I was waiting to do the bugnet for my chameleon clone in the hope that you would do one first that I could copy
Thanks!
