I've camped with my reg 9 DAM in about 28 degrees (felt like 19 degrees due to being right next to a river and everything frozen). This was in my Clark hammock. Slept toasty except when my shoulder would come into contact with the bare sides of the hammock.
I've also got a 7 that I've backpacked with. I had to put my backpack inside my hammock under my lower legs/feet to keep sort of warm. And then it was still a battle to stay on that smaller 7. Do-able if you have to. And it's much lighter if you're backpacking it than the other sizes of DAM's. I found the 7 works for me as well as the 9 in reguard to temps that it kept me warm at. (just gotta have something under your lower legs/feet w/7)
