WBBB XLC and Yeti Setup Question

Crazy issue here, but does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the under-quilt shock cord from peeking over the top of the hammock and putting pressure on your head?

I get a good flat diagonal lay, feet in the footbox and all, but the underquilt either rolls down off my shoulder, waking me up with an icy cool sensation, or if I fiddle too much, the shock cord ends up trying to pay across my forehead.

    I'm 6'3" and 195 lbs.

Just interested if anyone has any theories, especially if they're centered around "user error".

    Thanks!

I'm also 6'3" and had trouble keeping my Yeti on my shoulder. I saw a post here from RatDog, he (and now I) use a single clip on quilt hook right over the zipper at the end of the zipper and put the shock cord through the hook. It stays in place now!

Do you happen to have a picture of this as I'm having an issue visualizing how you have this rigged.

I'm about your size (though I doubt I'll ever see 195 again!) and used to have the same issue with my Yeti. I'd just reach out with my right hand while lying in the hammock, and pull the top left corner of the Yeti a little higher over my left shoulder. Worked for me and I seldom had to adjust more than once.

An even better idea: get a Wookie!

Ratdog posted pictures of his here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/104824-Dutch-Quilt-Hook-Pack-Hook-XLC-cold-shoulder-fix?p=1395203&viewfull=1#post1395203. I don't use the pack hook, just put the shock cord right in the hook of the clip-on.

Dutch's Clip-on Quilt hook with or without pack hook.
