Not to beat a dead horse, but you can get polyester strap from ratchett straps. Harbor freight is a pretty good source. See this thread.

1" polyester from strapworks; zero complaints.
I use 1" polyester webbing. I tried the stuff that came with my TC Jungle Hammock and I think it hurt the trees.
On a related note, H.E. was wondering about Spectra webbing in another thread. You might try that. They sell it at Annopolis Performance Sailing, but it seems kind of expensive.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
Try www.apsltd.com and look under the webbing and hardware icon, which is under the line section of their site. I believe it's 1", and sells for $3.80 per foot. That seems expensive to me for an unknown product. If you, or anyone else for that matter, ends up getting some, I'd be interested in knowing what the opinions are. If it's great stuff, maybe it's worth the extra money over polyester.
Most stores have them in different colors. Walmart sell camo, blue, and sometimes black. They are a little more expensive than the Harbor Freight straps. I have yet to try to dye them, but the yellow color doesn't really bother me anymore.
I am think about getting the black polyester webbing from strap works but it's thicker and heavier than the Harbor Freight webbing. I am currently trying to shave ounces off of my hammock setup, not add weight which is the main reason I have not gone with the Strapworks webbing.
