    MtRogers: who coming, what bringing?

OK, we are down to the wire. And while registration is not required: Who is planning on being there & what are you bringing for the Saturday Potluck?

    I'll start:
Doctari: Paper plates, Plastic hardware, paper towels, 12" x 13" grill for on the fire.
    Thorwren: her world famous stew.

    Some suggestions:
Hot dogs, Brats, Metts, Hamburger patties, Marshmallows, Cole Slaw, Potato salad, Salt / Pepper, Ketchup, Mustard, Buns (hot dog for sure, Hamburger?), Hot chocolate & other drink (Mixes?), "that special treat", etc.

    Hints:
It may be a good idea to put food in a cooler to reduce freezing. Especially the stuff that is meant to be served un-heated, like mustard & stuff.
If your food item requires special equipment, you may want to bring it along. Ie: waffles, may need a (Non electric) waffle iron. Creps will need a crep pan. etc.

Don't forget food for your other meals!! You may want dinner Friday PM, &/or breakfast Saturday AM.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

I won't be making the decision until probably a day or two before the trip. Trying to pack for a big move, as well as writing a grant proposal and a major journal publication, so I'm sort of swamped. I really hope to be able to make it though, as this is my last chance at an east coast hang for a while...

If I come, I will most likely bring some sort of dessert - probably purchased at Kroger

I'll bring some of the home made chili sauce (sweet relish for dogs & burgers) that I had at the Fall MAHHA hang. Also humus and carrots and celery. Looking forward to this!

Glad to hear you're coming, David!

    I'll bring some fake meat.

More important than the potluck, I expect to bring some sharp, pointy objects to play with. If anyone wants to try out a variety of fixed blade designs, I can bring several.

I'm hoping there will be some good downed logs to chop up. Or just some firewood to split. Either way, sharp pointy objects are fun. Maybe we can even play with some trap making or other bushcraft stuff.

If there's anything here anyone would like to get a chance to play with, let me know....

I'll be arriving Saturday evening with brownies!

I'll be there Friday evening with several loaves of fresh breakfast bread, along with Thing1 and Thing2, making ours a party of three.
