VIDEO - Early spring trip in North Idaho

Well, it is supposed to be spring, but we've had so much snow this year in the Northwest that all of the trails are full of snow. We can't wait around for it to melt, so we grabbed our snowshoes and our winter quilts and hit the trail.

I managed to get a little hammock-porn in this video, and we'll try to get even more shots of our setups in the upcoming videos. I've caught the illness and more gear is on the way!

I am still jealous of all of you guys on the east coast who can hike on clear trails and get all of the way up into the hills. We're not there yet, but we are getting out anyway.

    Thanks for watching!

Excellent video. Looked like a great spot with plenty of wood. It's pretty amazing how much time in a day you spend getting firewood. Take care and thanks for sharing. Al

Awesome video as always! I enjoy the voice over and it was nice to see Timber playing around. Looks like you had a nice trip. Really great shots too, liking the camera work!

It is so true! We spent the better part of the day getting and processing the wood we needed. No complaining though, there is something therapeutic about getting firewood for me. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! I am trying to come up with new interesting shots. Timber runs non-stop, I was surprised that I got a shot of him laying down. Usually he saves all of that for when he gets home.

Nice! I love to hear from other Idaho backpackers! Idaho is an incredible state for backpacking. I heard a stat recently that Idaho has more Wilderness area than any other state. So far I've only stayed in the North, but I intend on packing some of the area further south and someday would love to do the complete Idaho Centennial Trail. Thanks for watching!
