    Whoopie Sling Bead Options

What is everyone using as their whoopie sling savers? In a perfect world I'd just put a set of whoopie hooks on any whoopie sling I made but that would get expensive quick. I've read a lot of people using craft beads but understand they break easy, and I don't mind paying a bit to have something a little fancier. I'm wondering what people have come up with to keep their whoopie slings from being pulled too far. I recently read about brass and aluminum inserts which sounded interesting.

My goal for the record would be to buy in bulk something cheap that I could put on a set of whoopie slings that I am not going to have whoopie hooks on. I considered split rings but was worried someone would attach their carabiner to it.

For example something like this interests me. I've never held one so maybe a touch heavy but I like the idea of something like it. Cheap and simple.

Except when I am installing sexy Dutch bling (titanium Double Whoopie Hooks or Bridge Hammock Whoopie Hooks), I'm one of those people who uses cheap plastic pony beads from Wal-Mart (300 for $0.97), and I have never broken one. That said, one of the most creative keeper bead options I've seen for whoopie slings are drilled-out Lego mini-figure heads -- ultralight and virtually indestructible!

A scrap piece of zingit tied in a short loop is what i used. Tried a short section of amsteel burried right before the bury. Didnt like it much. Switched to ucr's and no longer worry about pulling the whoopie through.

    I did a lego head!

What about zinc nuts, like 1/4x20? Those are good and heavy too.

My thought was this though, little rubber o rings

I use continuous loops made of mason line to a finished size smaller than a quarter. Easy to grab if your whoopie gets buried and you can hang stuff off it as well.

I use mostly Whoopie Hooks now, but I've also drilled a hole through dice for a stopper:

I always want to use titanium beads, but they come out pretty pricey...

Bought a pack of wooden beads from the craft store. Light, functional, and they add a bit of natural flair.
