GoatBone Ultralight Hammock and Bug Net

    Greetings...

MtnGoat and I recently built a hammock and bug net for a friend. She is a relatively small person and is trying to lighten her load. She is coming from an ENO double nest and ENO bug net. She liked the comfort of a hammock but found her current set up too heavy.

The hammock was constructed from 1.0 HyperD diamond ripstop nylon from ripstopbytheroll. The bug net was made from N50 Nanoseeum also from ripstopbytheroll. Total weight for the hammock, bug net, bug net bishop bag, hammock stuff sack, and suspension (no toggles or straps) is 9.5 oz.

I previously had a short video and post on my ultralight stowable bug net that a lot of people had questions on, so we tried to talk about it a little...

That bug net looks pretty awesome.

How much does just the bugnet/ bishop bag combo weigh?

I really like the stuff sack as a ridgeline organizer idea. That is genius! I am going to sew some loops on mine. Great hammock.

GoatBone Ultralight Hammock and Bug Net

hipbone & MtnGoat y'all are the coolest---and so nice to make gear for your friend. I'm too much of a turtle to hike with y'all--it was fun swapping lies with you around base camp.

    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Your GoatBone creation has a lot of great ideas that were well thought out and executed.

Thanks for sharing. Love the fit of the bugnet.
