Went from researching gear for my needs to beginner DIY!

I've been posting in a few subforums about gear I'm interested in. My girlfriend saw my new BIAS ww hammock yesterday, laid in it, and was blown away. She said it's silly trying to buy all this custom stuff when she can help me make my own. She's been researching materials and techniques for tarps, hammocks, and bugnets all day and we're buyung a sewing machine tonight 😍😍😍

    She's a keeper!

Hilarious that it took only 5 minutes in a quality of 11 foot hammock for her to switch sides. I primitive camp with friends in UL gear but when her and I go on bike trips we take car camp stuff to campgrounds with a huge inflatable air mattress. Looks like we don't need that stuff anymore!

Look forward to learning from all of you!

DIY means you get to make it exactly the way you want! I never meant to but now can't stop...

I'm officially a hardcore DIY junkie now. Yesterday, I tried the "hard stuff"... I made my own cat cut hex tarp.

BTW-your girlfriend is definitely a keeper!
