Talking fleece pelts for winter se-up?

has anyone used a wool pelt.fleece to sleep on .it may be heavy, but the luxury might be incredible. has anyone tried it?it just seems like it would be the warmest system i could imagine.any thoughts.

anyone know where you can buy cheap fleece?the real kind.

We found one at a thrift store for less than $20. I was specifically looking for one and found it at the first store. But, it seems they are fairly common. I see them quite often now that I notice them. Might be worth looking around a little.

We don't take it camping, but yes it is very warm and soft to lay on.

I recall reading on another list (maybe?) that reindeer pelts are considered the delux version, and essential for camping in actic regions.
you might also seach for sheepskin rugs at the home decorating closeout sites, just a thought.

I have been using 2 of those cheap Walmart fleece throws here lately, in place of any pad or UQ. Just the sleeping bag and the throws doubled up inside the bottom of the bag, and have done some below freezing temps with them.... They are a bit much for a back packer I reckon, but for my camping, I am a believer in them.
