Here's another example. This is from the middle tie-outs on a Winter Dream tarp.

I'm a big fan of the webbing/D-Rings like OES does. Extremely durable.

I like your ridgeline tie-outs. That's actually something I've had planned for a while now but have yet to implement. Gotta find the right, uber-light aluminum d-rings first.

It's a really neat idea - having such rugged ridgeline rings w/ability to cinch up right there.

I really like that idea too! I'll probably do that on mine too. I imagine you could do it with the plastic-but-stronger-than-normal-plastic ones from ITW Nexus. Then there's always Linelocs.

It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Formerly known as Acercanto, my trail name is MacGuyver to some, and Pucker Factor to others.

It's not procrastinating, its proactively delaying the implementation of the energy-intensive phase of the project until the enthusiasm factor is at its maximum effectiveness. - Randy Glasbergen

You could also use a large split ring (key ring) in a pinch instead of running the line through the loop. Although I don't know if there's a significant advanatage other than it would be easier to thread your line.
