    "Let Me Introduce Myself"

I spent 21 + years in Active Duty Military Service. Earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and went on to earn a Master's Degree from Auburn University in Rehabilitation Counseling. I'm brand new (green as they come) to hammock usage / camping. I have lots of questions. I believe in learning from smart people who've been there as opposed to beating my head against the wall. I have purchased the Ultimate Hang book as a hard copy resource. I have good research skills and plan to do a lot of reading of posts from smart people on this Forum. I look forward to learning from you.

Welcome... lots of learning to be done on the subject, but the best way is to see and do in person. Try out a group hang if you can.

Welcome to the site. Since you have asked for it ... get ready for some info overload. You already have a great book and there are plenty of experienced people here to draw from.

Sabaka417 come and join us at your nearby local hammock hangs. Click Forums, then click Outings there you will see group Hangs that you are welcome to attend for part of weekend or all of weekend--you can even camp in your ⛺️ tent if you don't have a rig yet. You'll meet hammock campers and you must get a knowledgeable camper or campers to take you on a tour of hammocks. You will see all kinds of rigs and hammock tarps and insulation--you will get a crash course. Go to at least two hammock hangs to absorb information. Hammock group hangs may not be your favorite activity but it's the easiest way to learn quickly.
Maybe you can counsel me--I'm addicted to hammocks!
