Suwannee River Trip

Myself and 3 of my friends paddled the Suwannee River April 16-20 2017. We started at Steven Foster State park and finished at Suwannee River State Park. Stayed at Suwannee River Music park 2 nights. That was a trip. Wannee music festival going on. Stayed at Woods Ferry river camp 1 night and Holton Creek river camp other night. The first part of trip the water flow was way down. Alot of dodging rocks etc. Last part more rivers running into Suwannee improved water flow. Saw a lot of wildlife. The Sturgeon fish were jumping out of the water. They were huge. Kind of scary in kayak. No rain whole trip. Lows in upper 50s and highs upper 80s. Hope you enjoy. BigRed77

Wow Red, the water level sure is down. I've been paddling the length of the Suwannee a section at a time as my vacations allow. I usually go mid to late summer when the rains in Georgia bring the water levels higher. So far I've covered from Fargo the Lafayette Blue Springs. The 1st section I did from Fargo to White Springs, I tent camped but it was the 2nd trip that got me hooked on hammocks. I brought a inexpensive hammock as well as my tent but spent the whole week in the hammock. If you go late summer you most likely have the river camps all to yourself. My next leg will take me from Lafayette Blue Springs to Fanning Springs.
Loved the pictures, it looks like you had most of the places to yourselves also.
