Poles to hike and use when setting up tarp

I'm curious as to what I should look for in poles that can be used to hike with and with tarp setup. Any suggestions would be welcome as this is a new thing to me. I've always set up without poles, but love the idea of porch mode. Thanks for your time!

I received a pair of Cascade Mountain Tech Quicklock Poles for my birthday. I have used the a few times, and they have been wonderful. They are about $45 on amazon (Link), 100% carbon fiber poles, and have the quick lock for adjustments. I have used mine hiking and for setting up porch mode on my winter dream tarp. They are light for their price, and even when putting a lot of force on them hiking, as I weigh about 240, they haven't slipped once. Another plus is that they come with 2 different tip covers for different surfaces, and two different size baskets. I don't have a single complaint about them. They also work great with my ultrapod to hold my camera and stick them in the ground for a solid unipod to record.

I'm new to hammocking, but here is my experience: I have some Leki poles from way before I got into hammocks. They only have 2 sections and ended up being too short for porch mode (my favorite way to deploy my tarp). After getting into hammocks, I ended up buying another set of poles; my criteria was at least 60", which is about eye height for me. So my input is to look for poles that will get to porch mode or whatever height is important to you. There are great trekking poles out there, but be sure to take their fully extended height into consideration.

I like my Leki poles with speed lock and corkgrip, they work great. I have ones that have 3 sections. Also Leki stands by its products and offers replacement parts etc. Highly recommended.

    Cheers
