I had the best crop of morels this spring ever in my yard. Yummy sautéed on butter on local grass fed steak. I am looking forward to this hang. I might Drag a couple of my scouts along if they are interested.

===> Coupla notes on wild mushrooms; several common types have *very* poisonous clones that are almost indistinguishable. During military survival trainings, we were taught that mushrooms have very little nutrition value, and enormous potential for harm, and unless a certified expert, to leave them alone.

That said, if you feel you can *positively* identify a type of mushroom, and have experience harvesting, preparing, and consuming it, then it can add flavoring to a dish.

I will puchase or grow my own from a reliable source, but let them be in the wild.

Chaaaz - who cooks with them, but lets others grow or harvest them. That's just me.

===> I love Chaga tea (and Pine Needle tea)! If you are absolutely, positively sure that the fungus you harvest is indeed the one, have at it! But treat any havestable fungus with extreme caution. Things like Morels are easier to identify than anything with a cap - with or without underside gills!

New to donating to a raffle. Does it have to be new stuff or good conditioned gear?

Definitely a situation where you shouldn't ask a question if you don't already know the answer! LOL
