Another use for the Beetle Buckle

I first made that version permanent but decided detachable is more useful. Sell me on why you want permanently attached. I would love a reason to make another design.

I just like grabbing one of the suspension straps and throw it around the tree, then feed the hammock out and grab the other end of the suspension and wrap it around the tree. This way nothing ever has to hit the ground and there's no leaving the camp site without part of the suspension. I keep my suspension in water proof bags so storing them with the hammock isn't a problem if they are wet.

I just wish they stayed permanently attached to my hammock, then they would be perfect.

The fact that I can attach and detach them easily and keep them separate from the hammock body is one of the things I like best about the Beetle Buckles.

Why not take a piece of shock cord and attach it like in the pic above, except make the loop (very small) just big enough to hold your CL onto the buckle? Seems like a simple solution.
