I'd love to do it any weekend but the last one of August. As I've told WV, I've never seen the sods when they aren't covered in snow. I'll probably head up there to ski and hang in a few weeks, actually. I'd love to explore that area when it's a non-winter wonderland.

Splkbuk, Shadow is a beautiful pup. I can see Almost Heaven from my house, but it's a good two hours on the bike from here. I've explored your end of the county on cabin hunting expeditions for a friend. There are some pretty spots out that way.

Giving this a bump because more people showing interest. I'll put up a voting poll in March so we can finalize a date sometime that month so people can get it on their calendars. Right now we're talking about dates in August and Sept.

Shadow said to tell you thank ye sir. We have been known to ride up the BRP from Peaks of Otter, get off at Waynesboro and loop back into WV from the north. Scenery nice out your way too.

Looking forward to meeting you at Dolly Sods.

I'd be in for a late August early September trip.

As mentioned over on Happy Campers poll, SkyDog and I will volunteer to get there early and secure a camp site at Red Creek Campground. That could be the "meet-up" point and a place for late-after-dark arrivals. There are trees near the sites and a big P-Lot just across the road.

The one water source (hand pump) there is safe; but, tastes & smells awful. Bring your own or gag

I never drink water. I'm afraid it will become habit-forming.

The voting poll for dates is here. Poll is open for voting from 3/6 to 4/5.

Just so everyone knows how to recognize the camp site at Red Creek C.G. where SkyDog and I will be set up, I have <Hopefully!> attached a pic.

Note that the sun WILL be shining with blue skies!

Campsite looks generic, but I'd know that dog if I saw it again.
