Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself. Just got into the camping and hammock game. I have a BearButt hammock as I am just testing what works best. Any recommendations on whether to stay course with this hammock and get other companies accessories or go with another brand hammock a total different direction?

    Thanks,

Welcome to hammock forums. If you like the hammock then keep it. If you do not, we have all kinds of recommendations. Warbonnet is having a huge sale till the 17th of this month if you want a good deal on a good hammock.

You can go to Smoked Butt Hang at Falls Lake Memorial Day weekend. You'll be welcomed and get to see many different hammocks. Click on Forums, Outings, Southeast.

Hello and welcome to the show... I mean site.
If you like the hammock you're all set. If not, like stated by TrailSlug you came to the right place to find out what you don't know you need.
Enjoy the site, so much information here I don't think it's possible to read through it all.

Welcome from Northern Arkansas! Being happy with gear is a personal preference. I started with Eno then moved onward and upward. Don't even own an Eno now, but thankful for it fueling this addiction which is Hammock hanging! Check out a local hang if you can, being able to try out gear can help you figure out what you prefer, and what you don't. Once armed with that info, you'll find a never ending supply of great gear and recommendations... Right here!

My advice would be to try in a few trips then make adjustments from there. It helps to have some partners in crime so that all the investment isn't on you but even if you can't find others the forms provide lots of reviews. Have a great summer!

As suggested by the grappler - make it over to the Smoke Butt Hang. Even if you can only come for the afternoon on Saturday or maybe Sunday morning it will be worth your time. Folks love to show off their rigs and there might even be a hammock vendor around. Go meet the gang - you will be more than welcome.
