European (cottage) vendor working with cuben?

I'm looking for a cuben tarp and after many purchases from the states, I'm a bit fed up with paying ridiculous customs. So I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a vendor (preferably cottage) in Europe, working with cuben?

I know cuben is available in Europe now, but I haven't found anyone offering any products in it yet.

If you have a word with the vendors they'll often list a reduced purchase price on the delivery label or state a 'gift'. Worth a bash anyway
Success doesn't come to you, you go to it.

I've tried that a couple of times. Never once have they been willing to do that.

That store seem to be only selling HMG gear. It's imported from the states and the price clearly reflects this :/

Due to those reasons, I started DIY. Really nothing difficult, saved a lot of money, and I have mine products.

If you are not willing to DIY, it will cost you. Count on that.
Try to contact these polish guys: www.lesovik.eu Maybe will be able to help you out.

    1. None of the larger vendors does that. I don't know if there could be consequences for the seller (after all it is tax evasion), but I wouldn't chance it as a reputable vendor.

    2. Customs is (unfortunately) not stupid. eBay, Amazon and Co. have made it easy to buy and sell internationally. Customs sees thousands of parcels each day, and they know what to look for. Anything larger than a small air bubble envelope will be checked thoroughly. And if it looks like a commercial shipment (new packaging, printed sticker, sender address looks like a company, ...) it will end up at customs - no matter if the sticker says "gift" or not. At least that's the case in Germany. Very occasionally, smaller parcels have slipped through. But nothing of the size of a packed tarp.

To the OP: I only know one European shop that sells a Cuben tarp, and that is a) made by a US vendor (so it has been imported and customs has been paid), b) the shop is Swiss, so EU countries have to pay customs and c) it's a tarp for a 90° hammock that won't fit normal sized gathered ends. If you don't want to pay customs, your best bet is either buying it on a trip to the US or get somebody flying from the US to the UK to bring it in their baggage. Sorry
