    Sewn Through Top Quilt Question

    I've been digging, but I cannot seem to find the answer I'm searching for. I'm continuing my foray into DIY and I'm looking to do a sewn through down top quilt for summer (and because I just want another project). How much extra length do you compensate each channel for loft? An extra half inch? An extra inch? None? Not worth it because the additional fabric would negate any weight savings over baffling anyway?

    It was just a suggested online tool (off the top of my head) for him to relate the baffle width to the amount of shell material. Obviously, the cross-sectional area calculation would be an indirect one. Feel free to recommend another calculator if you wish...
