Question Tucking JRB topquilts in your side

Hey everybody, i use a JRB no sniv as my UQ and my TQ in the winter, i supplement with a pad in below freezing temps. The only problem i have with this setup is that i wakeup and have to retuck the quilt back under my sides when i roll around. I know the solution to the problem, sew some loops and do a shoelace style elastic cord setup, with a cordlock at the top so i can just pull it, and lock it. However, i dont want to just jump into it, as someone else may have already made a better fix. I am leaning toward some kind of elastic material that would allow me to cinch the open space (tight around my shoulders and back) on the back of the quilt shut for those really cold nights. Thanks everybody

The jacks sell 'wings' to expand the width of your quilt to make for easier tucking.
I plan on buying the down sleeves to eliminate this problem from my setup.

In the meantime, I just use a small'ish fleece blanket and drape it over my shoulders like old women used to wear "shawls" (sp?). It covers me and moves with me in the night. But those down sleeves are on the list.
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

    Rug.

    Hang On!

I know about the wings, but i would prefer an elastic thingy that coulr move with my body as i turn, staying in place.

I have a JRB Springer that is 61 inches wide. I modified it the same as I did my DIY Synthetics --- Somewhere in the middle of the quilt, make a mark for your strap. At JoAnn fabrics they have polyester gosgrain in a variety of sizes. Buy some at an appropriate length along with a 2 piece locking clip. You should be able to buy both for about 3-4 dollars.

Sew the strap on each side in two pieces, sew on the buckle. In camp buckle it together, slide your pad over the strap and settle in. The only sides you have to worry about tucking are the ones at your shoulders, kind of like at home in a regular bed

Additionally, you could also get some of the Omni Tape from the JRB website, attach that to your pad, and then attach the quilt to your pad.
