    COGS winter tarp

I just wanted to post a quick review and thank you to Chad at Colorado Outdoor Gear Supply. In March I received my 11foot silpoly winter tarp and had a short three day trip in March to try it out, but we really didn't have much weather or wind to get a great feel for the tarp.

This last week we took 4 days and headed to the Black Elk Wilderness near Mount Rushmore and got to experience it all. One night we were hit with heavy storms, rain and 35-50 mph winds. Actually kind of scary and made me rethink my stake choices but the tarp was perfect.

The next night we head sustained 20-25mph winds and 32 degree temperatures. I closed up the doors and was cost all night long.

I'm really impressed and happy with my tarp. Chad and the teams service was great.

Thanks COGS. I'm glad I found your products.

Thanks for the great review! I'm glad the tarp kept you dry and toasty!

Excellent! I tried getting out last weekend and ran into snow so decided to make a go of it some other time.

Sounds like I just missed you. I was through the BEW on Monday coming south. I ran into a couple of other backpackers, none of them particularly friendly, strangely.

We love our COGS tarps here in Maine too! We have not dealt with rain and wind yet really but have used ours, both winter and regular hex a bunch of times and porch mode works perfect, the side tie outs are awesome, and I always feel protected. I used my double joined arrow pole mod the past three days out back and that worked great too! My arrows were 30" apiece and I though 60" would be too long but it really was perfect. Going to find some more arrows to make more pole mods now.
