I had to order a 2# spool of heading twine, which I use around the house and everywhere practically, and I was on the site and found this New England Rope Company Dyneema 12 strand rope in 1/8" I ordered 10' of it at .63 a foot just to try it out and see if it is the same as Amsteel Blue. Figured it was worth a shot. Although, now that I look at Dutch's site, it is TWICE the price of Amsteel Blue!!! Oh well. It will be interesting to try it out. I also may be meeting with a higher up at Yale Cordage in Saco,
ME (for furniture reasons) and I am going to ask about their comparable products to the Amsteel Blue. When I was a kid I used to dumpster dive at their place across the river from my dad's house in Yarmouth, ME and get great scraps of coreless rope! It was like gold to a young lad!
Update when I try out the overpriced dyneema rope.
