    There ya go.

I took part of my crew up to the Enchanted Forest to test out my broken toe this afternoon.
The trail was sloppy and plenty of evidence of this mornings group of Brevard Distance Runners Camp in the form of fake flower petals, glitter and feathers.

The campsite was completely empty and as always, beckoning a group of hangers.
Your weather report is spot on what I have experienced from the past. Glad you are healed enough to make the walk up to the Piney Forest.

Surprisingly enough I have never had a problem with bugs at this hang. Hope this trend keeps going.

I spent 3 nights in the Sam Knob/Shining Rock area over the 4th of July and another 2 back in early May. No bugs.

FWIW, those locations are at least 2000ft higher in elevation and thus cooler than this hang.

I am at 3700' west of Waynesville and we are not having many bugs at all now. A few, but definitely not worth any ointment.
    It's been warm lately.

I'll have my Bonefire Whisper Hammock. Same thing, just removeable. In all honesty, I'd like to see one too.
