Talking the beginnings of an addict

so this past week i ordered and received a golite ultra 20 TQ, amsteel and treehugers from arrowhead, zing it from opie, 8yds of 1.1 ripstop, and best of all a MacCat deluxe! I also recently got some HF tristakes and mini biners.

I'm pumped to get all my DIY stuff started. I want to try over ridgelines, under ridgelines, prusik knots, self tension guylines, whoopie slings, insultex UQ and tacos, DIY hammocks, AAAHHH !! I tell myself this will be good for a while but I want to get a BB soon and an UQ from stormcrow!

I pour over everyone's experience super ideas and mistakes. My wife thinks i'm crazy. Do you get to the point where you say "i'm satisfied with my gear" or does this never end!?....Hi , my name is rich and i'm a hangaholic.

Nope never ends, these guys on HF turned me in to a gear junkie real quick, I would def look into Stormcrows UQ I just got one of his winter ptarmigan's and it is one sweet piece of gear. As well as the WBBB so comfy, I wish I would of learned about hammocks when I was 8 and started camping with my parents. And its so true about finding something new to buy all the time...decisions...decisons...
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
