Pins and needles in feet ? XLC

I set my xlc with my foot end being higher, unsure how much higher. I believe I've slipped down because my eye was no longer level with one of the furthest tie out.

Do I need to go higher with the foot end or slacken my ridgeline ? Both ends were roughly 30 degrees

My recommendation is go to Warbonnet's website. There you will find instructions on how to hang the XLC. From your description it sounds like you're not hanging correctly. From what I remember only one side needs to be at about that 30 degree angle. There's written instructions and I think a video too on the web site.

I too get that pins and needles feeling in gathered end hammocks. Don't know exactly if it's my feet being higher or more pressure on my heels or what. Usually those types of sensations come from nerves being compressed. I don't have that happen in a Ridgerunner thank goodness or I'd have to give up hammocks!

The ridgeline needs to be tight. With WB hammocks, this means that the suspension angle is closer to 20° than 30°. I usually ignore the hang angle and just concentrate on the ridgeline tightness. Watch the video from about 4:10:

And if you're sliding towards the foot end, you need to hang the foot end higher. The Wooki should help you find the correct position. The XLC needs to be hung with enough slope so that you end up lying on the insulated portion of the Wooki. That is the most comfortable position.

This helped me immensely with getting a more comfortable hang, even in my HH Jungle.
