For the first time in my life, I was smart enough to recognize a good thing. I ordered two with my Kickstarter order and I am not dissapointed.

I simply adjust the suspension so the ridgeline isn't so taut when I get in. This reduces tension on the net, yes? I'm only 150lbs though, YMMV.

Is anyone running TWO peak shelves? Does it get in the way at all? I ordered two peak shelves and hope I can use the foot end for things like TQ during the day and the head end to replace my xlc shelf.

I sleep with a pretty heavy firearm in my XLC shelf and never had a problem, think the peak shelf support the weight (just under 3lbs) safely?
How about Dutch's bottle holder? It can be clipped onto the d-rings opposite your head or opposite your feet inside the hammock. It's a side entry to boot.

Is it possible to have 2 peak lofts - one for the head end and one for the foot end? Do they stay attached when packing up?

Yes and yes! That is what I did and I find it very useful to have both.

Fresh owner of a Chameleon here.

    I love it.

First I bought the Chameleon with the net. Then I got two peak lofts and the top cover. :-)

One thing that impressed me is how small of a footprint the top cover or the netting takes. Two tiny mesh bags. Same with the hammock packed. Seems to take up approximately 40% less mass than my Blackbird hammock that I love. I haven't done the weight comparisons as I'm not that interested but it seems to me that Dutch was also cognizant of weight during the design of the hammock.

As a matter of fact the way Dutch comes up with various gadgets to make hammocking easier is what attracted me to trying the Chameleon. I was curious on how he could have improved on well known existing concept of a gathered hammock.

I enjoyed installing the peak lofts. When I tested them I almost think that I will not miss my beloved shelf on my blackbird hammock. It seems logical to put those peak lofts in the ends of the hammock - large, relatively unused space. You could actually put soft items like clothing etc into the foot of the hammock peak shelf to utilize it as insulation from the top and extra warmth.

For now I ended up installing the net AND the top cover. Each zipped in their respective end of the hammock and contained in their mesh bags. If I need to pull a net over me I zip it all the way up. If I want the top cover I can unzip the net almost all the way and store it in the mesh bag and then zip the top cover.

Here is one thing that I dislike: the top cover venting mesh stripe is full length on one side of the hammock and only partial on the other side. Maybe I have a slight OCD but right now that just doesn't feel right :-)
Swinging in the air with a flair.

Has anyone who owns a wooki tried it with their Chameleon? That's what's stopping me right now from getting one... I *just* got my Wooki a few months ago and I'm just not ordering another UQ! I really like the Wooki, and I'm thinking that if I have the same lay as the Wooki and can attach it, I should be ok.

Shug has a good video on the Wooki. In it he claims you can probably get it to work with other hammocks "with some fiddling" IIRC.
