    Again...the old and new foot end bars are identical. Exactly the same. Twins.
    Which means like in the old set one bar is 2 inches longer than the other. If he redesigned that, both could be made equal and achieve an overall 1" less of packability...or length.

    Now, if you're willing, now that you have 2 sets of foot-end bars to work with, you can modify them and end up with a 3-piece foot-end bar. Inserts pull out with a little muscle power and you can re-install them using JB Weld. You'll end up with new a total pack length of 15". Only downside is you'll end up with an additional foot-end piece.

    I was looking into getting a set of the new bars but just can't get passed spending 61% of the product cost on shipping fee.
    Hanging in the woods, paddlin and catching trout- My kind of living...
