DD hammock stand and Blackbird XLC

Hey guys! My girlfriend is keen on getting a portable hammock stand for backpacking and camping.
The cheapest option is the DD Hammocks stand (formerly Handy Hammocks), but it's not designed to be used with an 11 foot hammock.
Would it be possible to modify it easily to accomodate the XLC?

We do know about the NoGrounds, but with import taxes it's too expensive for her.

I'm planning on building one of these whenever I get 'round to it!

That does look nice, but not very easy to carry. We do not have a car, so even for just camping it would need to be brought on public transportation.

My bad. I guess that's the NoGrounds you were talking about. Disregard then!

If you log into HammockForums on a PC and search the title string it should pop up.
